Norfolk Lavender Limited

Norfolk Lavender, England`s premiere lavender farm, founded in 1932 has 100 acres under cultivation. Its main show gardens are set in the grounds of an early 19th Century water mill. The gardens include the Norfolk National Collection of Lavenders (about 120 varieties), a Herb Garden, a Lavender and Rose Garden and a 4 acre Fragrant Meadow Garden. There is a conservatory with an extensive fragrant plant sales area and within the Mill itself is an extensive gift shop where the company`s range of fine English fragrant products and countryside gifts are available. The main harvesting season is in July/August, during which time visitors may visit the field on minibus tours running 4 times daily. There are also tours around the grounds and the distillery. In May, June and September there are tours around the grounds 2 or 3 times daily, including a visit to the distillery where slides will be shown as the distillery itself will not be working. In the oak-beamed tearoom, lavender scones, lavender cakes, lavender tea and lavender ice cream as well as cream teas and other more traditional English fare are served.
